OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

DOESN’T TURN ON

If an electric stove doesn’t turn on, first check if the appliance is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the oven power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is on, then some other part of the appliance will need to be repaired. The cause of the issue could be an infinite switch, surface element, igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN WON’T HEAT

A stove or burner or oven that doesn’t heat will not do much good. An oven will not heat if there is a broken bake element or oven sensor. Your burner does not ignite when an element is broken or if the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We can troubleshoot and fix these issues in under 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

TIMER ISSUES

It is reasonable to assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken if the program or timer settings don’t work. If that’s the case, we can fix control panels on Sears, GE, LG, KitchenAid, Kenmore and several other brands and models of ovens, ranges and stoves. We offer a warranty on control boards and the replacement parts we need for this oven repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You should have a hot oven. But not too hot! If the heat is out of control, it might be because of an issue with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance repairmen know how to identify the cause of the problem and then fix it. Just be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of body burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER DOES NOT LIGHT

A common stove issue is times where an igniter glows but won’t light. The reason this occurs is from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We are able to determine if we can repair these parts or if we have to replace the parts.

DOOR WILL NOT OPEN

New self-cleaning ovens sometimes experience door problems. The door doesn’t open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We inspect the door latch, seal and thermostat to figure out why the door will not open and then we complete the repair so we can put an end to the problem.
